At Bhu Heir, we bring you handcrafted pieces made with patience, skill, and care. Each category of craft we offer carries its own story — of people, places, and processes that have lasted through generations. Here’s a glimpse into the four traditional art forms we currently celebrate:

Filigree is a delicate metalwork technique where fine threads of silver, gold, or copper are twisted, curled, and braided into intricate open patterns—without being soldered onto a base. This gives the pieces a light, airy beauty and makes even larger ornaments comfortable to wear.

The term comes from the Latin filum (thread) and granum (grain), with roots tracing back thousands of years. In India, the craft flourished through cultural exchange, and Cuttack in Odisha remains its proud hub—rightly called the "Silver City of India" for preserving this intricate art.
